Newton Grange

Newton Grange is a small and friendly residential home which offers long-term care to suit individual needs with a homely atmosphere which includes a 24 hour call system, thermostatic heat control, smoke detectors and stunning views over Underhill Park, Mumbles Castle and Swansea Bay.

The home offers a range of organised activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, music, exercise and local artists carry out classes in the home - residents are encouraged to progress personal hobbies and interests although complete relaxation is an option. Additional services such as a visiting hair dresser, regular outings and organised events are frequent.

The lounges and dining room are comfortable and well furnished, providing a meeting place for residents to relax and entertain guests. We know how important it is to keep in touch with friends and relatives so our door is always open.

Our dedicated team of care staff have worked very hard to provide a very high standard of care, but at the same time the feeling of a family home is very predominant.

The kitchen has a very high rating with environmental health. The menu maintains a very healthy diet which includes daily home cooked food with emphasis on fresh vegetables and high quality fish and fresh meat which is sourced from local suppliers. There is an in house laundry service included.

New residents are welcome to bring items of furniture and personal belongings when they come to live at Newton Grange, to help them feel at home.

The interior of the home has been thoughtfully designed using natural light and space where possible. The main lounge has maintained all of its original beautiful features, all corridors have guide rails. A simple-to-use lift makes it easy to move from floor to floor. There is a parker bath for assisted bathing and the rooms have en-suite facilities, some with disabled showers.

Newton Grange has two gardens, a front car park with scented flowers and the rear garden which is mainly lawn with trees and shrubs and two south facing patio areas. This also has a walkway with guide rails to allow people, whether walking or using a wheelchair to move around easily , safely and independently. Both are equipped with garden furniture.
